Republic of Buryatia.
Participants of a picket against
annihilation of the Buryat Autonomy
are arrested in Ulan Ude. The picket
was held next to the Theater of
Buryat Drama where All Buryat
Congress takes place. Members of
Buryat Diasporas from Buryat
Republic, Russia and from overseas
were gathered on the Congress.

portal www.buryat-mongolia.info and
a member of human rights movement
Erkhe is reporting: some of the
arrested (Nikolai Tzyrempilov, Dorzh
Tcybyckdorzhiev, Radzhana Dugarova)
are held in Soviet District of ROVD
of Ulan Ude and have being
questioned about a distraction of a
social order during the picket. Some
of the incriminated distractions are
a swing with a flag of Republic of
Buryatia and shouting. The shouting
actually did not occur.
The picket was timed to the All
Buryat Congress, where was assumed a
ratification of results of April, 16
2006 Referendum on annihilation of
Ust Orda Buryat Autonomic District
and the announcement of annihilation
of Aga Buryat Autonomic District.
Public organizations opposed to
annihilation of Buryat Autonomy were
refused to take part in All Buryat
Congress by the Buryat Government.
An application for the picket was
submitted on June, 26 2006 by a
local section of a public movement
The Defense and human rights
movement Erkhe in accordance with
a local law.
